These fun shaped, blank canvas design dishes, are suitable
for many different types of techniques. You can decorate
them with decals, solid glaze colors or choose a "funky"
design, as shown here. They will be great used for snacks
at your next "Texas Hold-em" party!!!
These multifunctional
pieces were decorated with our fun NEW
“ARTSTROKES”. You will find these underglaze
colors-for-bisque great for water-color type effects, antiquing, design
work, and just plain ole’ painting.
STEP 1. Using a pencil, draw in the appropriate card shape to
the
pieces (club's on club, diamond's on diamond etc.). As
a rule of thumb, it is a good idea to keep the # of shapes
you apply "odd" rather than "even". 7 shapes on
each piece were uses here.
STEP 2. Apply 4 coats of #403 Candy Apple to the hearts and
diamonds.
STEP 3. Apply 3 coats of #401 Licorice to the clubs and spades.
STEP 4. Using the opposite color, make 7 swirls of color. Load
brush before each application, as you will only apply 1
coat.
STEP 5. The dots, 3 sets of 3 dots, will go on all 4 pieces.
Using a stylus, dip into paint then onto the piece, re-load
before each dot.
STEP 6. Sponge on a coat of #403 Candy Apple, to the edges, sides
and bottom of the pieces.
STEP 7. Lightly sponge #401 Licorice over that. Not too much, as
it will cover all the red!
STEP 8. Allow time for the paint to dry. Carefully apply a
flowing coat of GL100 Ultra Clear Glaze; careful to not
"open" the colors you have applied. Follow with a
second coat of Ultra Clear Glaze.
STEP 9. Fire as directed on label. |
