Tire Track Hoppy
This little fellow has had a "tireing" day!!!! Just couldn't resist that one!!!!
This fun piece was decorated with 2 different types of fired paints. The "ArtStrokes", used directly on cone 04 bisque, and then finished off with glazes. It will serve many different purposes. cone incense burner,
paperweight, decorative soap dish, business card holder etc.
1. Antique entire piece # 402 Root Beer. Be sure to leave a good bit of paint in the track section.
2. Apply 3 coats # 422 Flesh to the tongue.
3. The eyes are 3 coats # 415 Marshmallow. Let dry, and then streak a few thin squiggly lines in a starburst pattern from the center of the eye. Once this has dried, apply 2 coats of # 412 Kiwi to the iris. Follow with 2 coats of # 401
Licorice to the pupil area. A drop of # 415 Marshmallow for the highlight.
4. After allowing plenty of time for the paint to dry, carefully apply 2 coats of GL100 to the eyes and tongue.
5. The remainder of the frog is glazed with 3 even coats of GL #217.
6. Fire as directed on glaze label.
