Uses for Ceramics and Doll Crafting are endless.  When used on dry or leather hard greenware, they create a smooth line, rather than the jagged line that will happen with a sharp tool.  Use them for replacing detail in feathers, hair, veins in leaves, personalizing your ware, etc. You will find them handy when tracing stencils or designs into greenware, as well, for a sgraffito type effect.

When painting, they work great for creating "dot's" of uniform size.  Simply dip in paint, and then tap onto design.  Great for highlights in eyes, pistols of flowers, polka dots etc.

They are also useful for embossing paper, scrapbook embossing etc.
